• Location data: your approximate position, used solely to show nearby mosques. This is only accessed when you grant permission.
• Busyness reports: anonymous crowd-level reports you submit (prayer time, status). These are not linked to any account or identifier.
• Uploaded images: photos of mosques and timetables that you choose to upload. These are stored securely and are subject to admin review before being published.
• Community notes & suggestions: text you submit as community notes or mosque correction suggestions. These are anonymous and subject to admin review.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) processed by our hosting provider for security and performance.

2. How We Use It

• Your location is used to find mosques near you.
• Busyness reports are aggregated anonymously to show community crowd levels.
• Uploaded timetable images may be processed using AI for automated text extraction to populate prayer time data. Images are not retained beyond processing.
• Mosque photos are stored and displayed publicly once approved by an admin.
• We do not sell, share or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Retention

• Busyness reports older than 24 hours are no longer displayed.
• Location data is not stored on our servers and is only used in real-time to serve your request.
• Uploaded images are stored indefinitely while approved, or deleted upon rejection by an admin. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
• Community notes and suggestions are stored until removed by an admin.

4. Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare: hosting, security and image storage. Their privacy policy.
• OpenStreetMap: map tiles and location search. Their privacy policy.
• Google: AI-powered text extraction from uploaded timetable images. Their privacy policy.

5. Cookies

MosqueIQ does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Our hosting provider may set essential security cookies.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. Since we do not collect identifiable personal data beyond standard server logs, there is typically nothing to delete. If you have any concerns, please contact us.
